I don't know what a "meta" is, even that I see this example of it. A definition would be appreciated, so I can then arbitrarily categorize it as something that is either appealing or non-appealing to me, and take the appropriately biased action. Is a bad steak more expensive than a good pork chop in Brooklyn or San Francisco? How are you going to decide what to name the baby if you don't know whether or not is it going to have sex or not?
